Using the Weibull Analytics Calculator for Reliability Growth Data Sets

For any Reliability Growth Data Set, you can access the built-in Analytics Calculator for computing additional reliability growth analysis results, such as Cumulative Failure Rate, Cumulative Failures, Cumulative MTBF, Fisher Matrix, Instantaneous Failure Rate, Instantaneous MTBF, and Parameter Bounds.

To access the Analytics Calculator, from the reliability growth Data Sets pane or the Reliability Growth Plot pane, the click the Analytics button in the toolbar.

The Analytics dialog appears.

Select the metric you wish to compute from the tabs on the left. Then enter the input parameters requested. Click Calculate to perform the calculation. The results will appear in the Results group box.

The available metrics, the requested input parameters, and the resulting values are as follows:

• Cumulative Failure Rate
  • Input Parameters: Calculate (Time or Failure Rate),  Failure Rate or Time, Confidence Type​, Confidence Level (if requested)
  • Results: Lower Confidence Bound (if requested), resulting Value, Upper Confidence Bound (if requested)
• Cumulative Failures
  
  • Input Parameters: Calculate (Time or Failures),  Number of Failures or Time, Confidence Type​, Confidence Level (if requested)
  • Results: Lower Confidence Bound (if requested), resulting Value, Upper Confidence Bound (if requested)
• Cumulative MTBF
  • Input Parameters: Calculate (Time or MTBF),  MTBF or Time, Confidence Type​, Confidence Level (if requested)
  • Results: Lower Confidence Bound (if requested), resulting Value, Upper Confidence Bound (if requested)
• Fisher Matrix 
  • Results: Parameter results lambda and beta
• Instantaneous Failure Rate
  • Input Parameters: Calculate (Time or Failure Rate),  Failure Rate or Time, Confidence Type​, Confidence Level (if requested)
  • Results: Lower Confidence Bound (if requested), resulting Value, Upper Confidence Bound (if requested)
• Instantaneous MTBF
